Actress Salma Hayek becomes a grandmother

Salma Hayek, 59, has become a grandmother for the first time after her stepson, Franois Pinault Jr., welcomed a baby boy with Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck.  The couple surprised followers on Wednesday, August 12, by revealing that they have quietly spent the past month as parents. Lara announced the news on Instagram with a carousel of intimate family photos, offering the first glimpse of their newborn son, Franois.  My husband (the worlds coolest franois) and our son (the worlds cutest franois) ... our first month as parents, she wrote. The announcement revealed several surprises at once.  In addition to confirming that the couple welcomed their first child approximately a month ago, Lara referred to Franois as her husband, appearing to confirm that the pair also quietly tied the knot after announcing their engagement earlier this year. Among the photos documenting their first weeks as parents is a particularly sweet family moment featuring Salma holding her new grandson in her arms as Franois Jr. leans in beside them.  The baby's arrival marks a new chapter for Salma just weeks before she celebrates her 60th birthday on September 2. The star has been married to Franois-Henri Pinault, Franois Jr.'s father, since 2009 and has previously spoken about the close relationship she shares with her husband's children. I always wanted to have a lot of children, and I was not able to, Salma previously told Red. My body, as a miracle, had one. The huge blessing I've had is that my husband has three other children. So I have four. And they are all so different. Franois Jr., born in 1998, is Franois-Henri's eldest child from his previous marriage to French designer Dorothe Lepre. The former couple also shares daughter Mathilde Pinault. Franois-Henri also shares son Augustin James Evangelista, born in 2006, with supermodel Linda Evangelista.
