Aggressive and out-of-control donkey jumps into van and attacks three people

A runaway donkey reportedly went on a biting and kicking rampage in Germany after escaping with a horse and later jumping into a van, injuring three people.The incident happened Friday, August 21, near a roundabout in Holssel, south of Cuxhaven, where motorists spotted the two animals loose and attempted to secure them. The donkey, named Freddy, reportedly became very aggressive as people tried to intervene before jumping into a van and attacking two people inside.The victims were repeatedly kicked and bitten but managed to escape with minor injuries, according to reports. A 33-year-old woman was also injured and required hospital treatment after attempting to help during the incident.The chaos ended when Freddy's owner arrived and was able to bring the donkey under control. Freddy was subsequently returned to his enclosure and secured behind a chain-link fence. German police said: The reason for the animals aggressive reaction is still unclear.Local media speculated that Freddy may have been attempting to protect the mare that had escaped with him. Veterinary authorities were notified following the incident.
