“The Olodo uprising term was not coined by me” — Nigerian musician Ycee

Nigerian musician Ycee has clarified his position on the controversial Olodo uprising phrase, saying he did not coin the term and that many people misunderstood the point he was trying to make. Speaking during a recent conversation, Ycee said his concern was about how the pursuit of money has affected Nigerian society, arguing that some people now justify questionable behaviour as long as money is involved. He said his comments were wrongly interpreted as being classist or elitist because of his level of education, stressing that he only has his secondary school certificate and does not hold a university degree. Ycee also revealed that he had always been passionate about reading and once wanted to study Computer Science at university, but could not meet the required admission quota at the time. Watch video below:     View this post on Instagram           A post shared by Lindaikejiblog (@lindaikejiblogofficial) The post The Olodo uprising term was not coined by me Nigerian musician Ycee appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
