Businessman sparks debate online after extending the suspension of his staff who wore earpods and was smiling while appearing before a disciplinary panel

A Nigerian businessman has sparked a debate online after he announced he extended the suspension of one of his staff members for being rude to her superior. In a series of posts, the entrepreneur, Sam Ekpewheni, said he suspended the staff member for two weeks, and she was to resume yesterday. September 21. However, before she is allowed to resume fully, she must physically face a panel made up of her superiors. He said that after she met with her superiors, he was virtually invited to the meeting, and what he saw turned him off.  Sam said the female staff member had her earpods in her ears and was smiling while appearing before the panel. He said he got infuriated and immediately extended her suspension. His action has sparked a debate online. While some netizens berated the lady for not comporting herself properly in front of the panel, others argued that Sam behaved like he is god''.
