Charlie Kirk's statue vandalized outside Turning Point USA headquarters

A statue of late conservative activist Charlie Kirk outside Turning Point USAs headquarters was vandalised overnight, with his widow, Erika Kirk, vowing that the damage would not diminish his legacy.Turning Point USA shared photographs on Sunday showing red spray paint across the statues face and neck, while a frowning face had been painted on the front of the figure. The organisation said it was reviewing surveillance footage and working with law enforcement to identify those responsible.We will restore the statue and replace the signs, Turning Point USA said in a post on X, describing the vandalism as diabolical and adding that evil never sleeps. A nearby memorial sign was also vandalised, with the name of Jesus crossed out in red paint.Responding to the incident, Erika Kirk quoted Turning Point USAs post and said her husband had always believed in building more when others attempted to tear things down. They thought a bullet would silence my husband's voice but it only made it louder, she wrote, adding that the vandalism would further spread his legacy. Addressing the damage to the religious sign, Erika said crossing out the name of Jesus would not silence Christians. We'll put His name right back where it belongs, clean up the mess, restore Charlie's statue, and keep building, she said.Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in 2025. His death was followed by memorials and tributes from supporters across the United States.
