Mechanic lured with car repair job hacked to de@th inside bush in Lagos

 The Lagos State Police Command has launched a full investigation into the m#rder of an automotive mechanic, identified simply as Samson, who was allegedly k!lled after being lured to the Abijo area of Ibeju-Lekki last Tuesday, September 15, by an unknown individual under the pretext of needing him to fix a faulty Mercedes-Benz vehicle.  Punch reports that the victim, who runs a mechanic workshop around the Warike estate area of the community, was allegedly taken into a bush and subsequently hacked to de@thshortly after arriving the area where the allegedly faulty car was parked. A source in the area who spoke on condition of anonymity saidThe victim was lured to the location on the pretext of going to repair a Mercedes-Benz car. We were told that when he got there, he was taken into the bush and k!lled.Investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the k!lling and identify those responsible,  The source, however, noted that the suspected cultists were believed to be behind the incident as the deceased is alleged to be a member of a cult. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the command, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the police received a report from Samson's family that his whereabouts were unknown and he had remained incommunicado. Adebisi said that following the receipt of the information, detectives reportedly swung into action and visited the victims apartment.
