Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has laid the blame for societal delinquency on parenting, stating that many mothers and fathers are the root cause of the "monsters" in society today. In a post shared on social media, Etinosa criticized the generational cycle of domestic abuse and corporal punishment, calling on the younger generation to break the chain. Etinosa argued that many mothers in the past stayed with husbands who bat them. By doing this, they mistakenly taught their sons that violence is okay.
