Niger abduction: Terrorists yet to make contact six days after attack - Commissioner

The Niger state government says terrorists who abducted worshippers during Friday prayers in  Borgu community on August 21, are yet to contact the family. The assailants invaded communities in Borgu, attacking worshippers at the Kpenya Mosque in Gidan-Zana, Kpenya village, during Jumaat prayers. While speaking on Channels TV this morning, the state Commissioner for Information, Obed Nuhu, disclosed this on Thursday, saying the August 21 attacks occurred at three different locations in Borgu Local Government Area and were suspected to have been carried out by Lakurawa and Boko Haram elements. Speaking on Channels Television this morning, Nuhu said the government had not received any contact from the abductors. No such (contact with the k!dnappers) has happened. We have not had any interactions with them but the suspicion is the Lakurawas as they call themselves and the Boko Haram.
