Students trapped as hostel collapses at Oko Polytechnic in Anambra

A hostel building has reportedly sunk and collapsed at Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State. The multi-storey building collapsed on Sunday night, July 27, 2026, while students were inside. People living nearby said they heard a loud noise before the building collapsed.  The sound attracted many residents and students, who rushed to the scene.  Rescue efforts are still ongoing. Details of casualties remain unconfirmed. More details shortly.  The post Students trapped as hostel collapses at Oko Polytechnic in Anambra appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
