Troops rescue six kidnapped Katsina varsity female students and driver

Troops of 17 Brigade, in collaboration with the Nigerian Police, have rescued seven kidnapped victims along the DayiMalumfashi road in Katsina State. The rescue operation was conducted at about 11:45 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, when the security forces intercepted a green-coloured Volkswagen Golf 3, with registration number Kano BCH-528ZY, conveying the victims. The Media Officer, Joint Task Force West OPFY, Lt. Col.
