"God turned my tears of fear into tears of joy" - Nigerian woman kidnapped few days to her wedding celebrates as she welcomes her first child

A Nigerian woman who was kidnapped a few days to her wedding has welcomed her first child a year after her terrifying ordeal.   Plangdes Nelson, then a Corps member serving in Bauchi, was abducted in September 2025 from her brother-in-law's house in the Dong community, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.  The perpetrators broke into the compound at night while family members were about to go to bed and abducted her and another relative.   Taking to Facebook on September 14, 2026, the baker shared the good news, expressing gratitude to God for turning her tears of fear into tears of joy.  14/09/2025. Exactly one year ago, I was kidnapped. I never imagined that this same date would become one of the happiest days of my life, she wrote. One year later, God turned my tears of fear into tears of joy. I gave birth to my precious baby. From pain to a beautiful testimony. Only God could write this story.
